Privacy

WatchVR is designed to play your video locally. This page explains the boundary between your video file and the basic usage data collected by the website.

Your video stays on your device

When you choose a video, the browser reads that local file and WatchVR renders it in the page. WatchVR does not upload the selected video file to its servers. Reloading or closing the page clears the active browser session and you must select the file again.

Website analytics

WatchVR uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate website usage. This can include the page viewed, referrer, approximate location, browser, operating system and device type. Vercel states that this analytics data is anonymized and does not use cookies. The selected video file and its contents are not sent as analytics data by WatchVR.

Accounts, ads and file storage

WatchVR does not require an account and does not store your video library. The site does not currently include advertising trackers or sell personal information.
